From my investigation of the lack of progress in finishing the bridge and my background in the metal industries, it may sleep for a long time considering that the metal it is made from contains far too much carbon to properly hold a weld. In other words, according to sources, Mayor Nenshi and council know the steel is closer to iron then weld-able steel and are both terribly afraid to tell the public about it and they have no clue what to do about it.
